My Journey...

Even though I cannot remember the first day I went to the pre-school, I can still remeber each and every delightful moments I had with my friends throughout those two years, Poson day bathi gee, The Sunday Fair, games we played together, specially the final concert where I missed the last train in the drama and the times I cried.
At the begining of 2002, I began to start my primary education at Olcotte vidyalaya Matara. Apart from the learning schedules I participated for several dancing practices for drill display and it did not take much time to convince me that these are not for me. With lot of memmories the primary education life ended at grade 5 schlarship exam, which was the biggest headache those days I had, & I missed 8 marks to pass.
In 2007 I enterd to St.Thomas' Boys college Matara for my Secondary studies. I can remember the very first day I setpped to the college with my mother and it was a light rainy day. I studied from grade 6 to grade13 there with lot of funny experiences and professional skills too. There we organized the Science day, film festivals, and some mini fund raising programmes. Funny thing is most of the fund raising programmes were for the sake of our own deserts in the luch time. At that time I really wanted to become a scout but couldn't. The sportmeet days & the big match days were the best days I had in my school life as we spent the whole day in Uyanwatta playground. The best friends and the best time I had in grade 10-E & 11-E classes actually, still those memmories make me laugh whenever remembered. I feel, the AL class schedules limited us for some extent. I got 8 A's and 1C for OL and 2 C's and 1 S for AL and got selected for the university.

This is the greatest opportunity I have ever gotten so far in my life. 27th of November in 2017 is unforgettable as the very first day I stepped to the university. At the begining of this life, I felt little bit of unusual. But with the time I got used to it very much. Most of the nights were spent all the batchmates packed to one room or to the hallway singing songs. Getting up at 6:00 A.M. was the hardest thing at that time as we hardly slept before mid night. There was a one guy who gets up at early in the morning and wake up everybody in the hostel by knocking every door yelling GOOD MORNING and most of the time he got the reply back but NOT A GOOD MORNING. At begining of the academics, we had to choose which streams you are going to deal with. So I chose Mathematics and Physics, because I love both. From the begining I determined to get selected for the 4th year Industrial mathematics degree as I'm hoping to do my postgraduate in mathematics too, so I work hard and maintain a good GPA. With the academics, we did not forget to visit the world famous heritage Anuradhapura town and Mihintale town and the historical places around there. Apart from those, we organized so many events in the faculty and enjoyed each. Among them the freshers' night is the best one, believe, I danced for a group song. I'm really bad at such kind of dancing stuff but I managed it somehow. Those are bit of my memmories in first year.
With the start of the second year studies we were bit busy with the arrival of the new batch, our juniors. We were readying to welcome them. I played wrestling in the inter faculty tournamnet and got the second place. In the second year, I focused on extra activities aprt from regular academics in the university. I started some mathematics courses on Coursera and followed them. I go to the library frequently to study. That's the best place to work I suggest in the day time. As well as I have a idea to go to Mihintale temple at night and do my academic stuff there. The cold wind refreshes you everytime for sure there. One night my roommates and me went and spent hours there in the mid night. In the mid of the 2019 we organized 'Videsa' programme which provide educational help to children in rural schools in Anuradhapura district and a workshop also was organized by IMSA in Padikaramaduwa Maha Vidyalaya. Proud to say that I could be a partner of both events. Even along with these extra work I could keep my GPA in good level. Apart from these I watched movies, dramas, and went one day trips, some of them are Sigiriya, Na mal Uyana, etc to relax myself. And I had lot of memmories with Holy festival and it is my one of favourites. Unfortunately with the Covid 19 situation we had to leave the university at the end of year, so we lost lot of funny events very badly.
The third year academics conducted totally online. It was a new experience for us and was much effective for the time being. Honestly, this helped us to save more time not only for the academics but also for the extra curricular stuffs. So I joined to Rajarata Astronomical & Space Studies Club(RASSC) and had interesting experience there. And I was elected as a committee member of industrial mathematics of student association and done my job as much as I could with my academic. As well as I started graph theory research projects under the ultimate supervision of Prof. A.A.I. Perera sir, Mr. Chinthaka sir and Mr. Dhananjaya sir. I published one of them successfully in RESCON 2021 International Conference which was organized by PGIS. This was the very first time I spoke in a international conference and I'm very proud of it. Thank you very much all the supervisors who helped me to complete my project on time and for the superb guidance throughout those months and after. I have submitted rest of the conference papers to ISymRU 2021 and for the journal of Eastern University and for the Ceylon Journal of Science and few are curently in progress. Above projects are about Prime Labeling and Graceful Labeling in graph theory. I hope to do my postgraduate studies in graph theory too.
